Great Asian Market and restaurant. Kimchi is soooo good. I'm so glad I took some time to shop there again.

We purchase all our Asian favorites at this market! Our son loves cooking/ rolling sushi and this is the place to find BBQ eel, fish eggs, crab sticks and more! It is an authentic market- with large freezer section and dry goods. Little to no fresh produce or hard to find vegetables- head to Madison Heights to the Asian market there for fresh. But the Hankuk is solid. Family is kind and hard working. It is great to have this option in Macomb- please support small business and come find all your hard to find Asian spices, seaweeds, noodles and more!

Small Ma & Pa operation but they offer everything I need. Their food is pretty good too, depending on what you order. The place looks pretty dated tho. I usually order the Jjangmeyon or yook gai jang. This Korean market and restaurant in Roseville is the closest to my location so it is convenient when I am not in the mood to drive as far as H Mart in Sterling Heights.

Went for food and groceries today. Coming from 20 years in Los Angeles this place is legit! The owner was so amazing and the food as well. The items they had to purchase were overwhelming (in a great way!). I'd you like Boba they have so much! They have been in business 33 years! Will definitely be a regular! edit: pictures from our grocery haul

Don't let the look of this place fool you. It gives you the "immigrant first came to America vibe" but the food here are yum. This is a mom and pop place that is half restaurant and store. You might have to wait for the food because it looks like it is just a husband and wife that make the food and run this business, but it is worth it. Have to give it a try if you like korean food. The scallion pancakes were also good but i wish they had a sauce with it otherwise than that, no complaints

I was on the Westside earlier today, but I did not have time to stop at 168 Asian Mart. But, I remembered that I have the next best thing near my house. And, the grocery area is just as jampacked with a variety of goods you can't find a normal grocery store. Jampacked is still the word to describe the grocery area. It looks a bit like a well organized area in somebody's basement. What it lacks in ambience it more than makes up for in content. The only things I could not find here that would be at 168 Asian Mart are fresh goods, like meats and produce. Hankuk has many interesting things in their refrigerated section. Some are prepackaged things that must've come from an Asian goods distributor. Some things, like kimchi, are clearly made in-house. There are no dates on the in-house things, so you are taking a bit of a risk in terms of freshness. I have not had an issue with these items, however, and I know kimchi basically lasts forever. But, take note. Hankuk had dine in options prior to the pandemic, too. You can still get things for takeout. The food here is good, and the prices are fantastic. I will probably order a sushi roll or two later. With such a tiny space, social distancing is impossible. But, I have rarely seen more than 2 other customers at a time. Today, I was the only one. This is a shame, since there is a lot to love about Hankuk.

I discovered this place just this year! A Korean restaurant so close to where I live. I usually just go to the Sterling Heights area for Korean food. This place is such a cute little market with a small restaurant within it. I never dined in, just got takeout. They sell their house made stuff like kimchi, etc even in a huge container! They also sell their house made dumplings. Most of them are frozen and sometimes you'll see already prepared ones. Their food is yum. Their japchae is pretty saucy. Really good for leftovers! I also really enjoy their grilled mackerel. There's still so much to try here. They also do a bit of sushi which I haven't tried. I still forget this place is here since I'm not really in this area as much. I usually go the opposite direction. But just a quick place to go to to do some asian grocery's shopping or get some food. Come here
